Turner believes it won't affect the performance of their bikes, so they are dropping fsr. Regardless if that is true, I wonder if the price will drop with the fsr licensing not being paid.

The faux bar will happen to all models that currently use a Horst Link. HL bikes will be available for a while, though, as Turners licensing agreements go thru the end of the calendar year 2005.

I doubt they'll be lowering the price. Licensing fees paid to Ellsworth and Specialized end up only being a couple of bucks per bike. That couple of bucks means a lot more at the manufacturing level than it does at retail. Also, it's as much an issue of principal as anything else. Why pay your direct competitors if you don't have to? It's a simple business decision. Dave Turner has a LOT on the line with this - it's his name on the bike. If he really didn't believe that it effected performance as much, he wouldn't have done it.
