Ok, I'll throw out some pics from yesterday's ride in Western PA. 7 Springs trails.
Some views from the top and some pictures of the leaf covered rocks.

That is absolutely incorrect. There are a great many areas like that in California.

There is great riding like that in the Bay Area as well. It sounds like it's time to expand your horizons a bit and discover some more diverse trails.

Diverse non "loose and dry" Bay Area riding:

Some of that looks like Oat Hill Mine. Ah, yes, my favorite of all my formerly-local trails...

Yes a few of those are from the "typical" Oat ride that most folks do on the frontside.

We had a great day yesterday punching back into the backcountry by climbing 29 to the summit. Finally saw one of the bears that have been leaving huge piles of processed berries all over the place.

If you want to take a trip down memory lane there are some more Oat pics, from a year ago, here:

Great pics, I love the ride reports and pics. It breaks up all the "what kind, how much" post.

Open your eyes the next time you ride Montara. While you're stuck cruising on the lameass fireroads, you're riding right past some great trails.

What we do is go to the peak of montara by those like electrical towers where there is a great view. The ride down is really fun, though not as bumpy or exciting as I'd like it to be.

Wow I just watched it, and some of those trails I have riden down, the not as rocky ones lol. Just wondering where is that part in the trees where those riders keep getting air off of the branch roots?
