Unfortunately no!
The only place that has them is Dicks. This is an in-store item only.
A friend who is the head bike tech said he doesn't know if they'll be getting them next year.
It was something they picked up when they took over Galayns.
They had 3 different bikes:
- Talkeetna DH/FR (nice) Primer Gray color about $999
- Pumori (?) HT nice components but in the ugly ugly green mentioned above. $329
- Yavapai HT good entry level components in Coke can red $299

Dicks ran a special that was $20 to $30 off plus an additional $20 off if you got their credit card.
I couldn't pass that up so I got the Yavapai. Really wanted the Pumori but that ugly green color
was just something I couldn't live with.

The Yavapai is sold out in all the nearby Dicks.
Plenty of Pumoris left. They're just not selling because of the color.
Most stores have at least one Talkeetna.

Yes, these were one-shot deals negotiated by Galyans, which was taken over by Dicks last year. Galyans licensed the name from North Face.

The bikes were manufactured by Iron Horse. The full suspension is identical to the dw-link Hollowpoint, with different paint and components.

Ah, yes, Pumori. I was going to say Pissyhaha, but it just didn't sound right. You're not kidding about the color, look at it too long and you'll need to buy a new lunch.

( *Correction to my post above )

- Talkeetna DH/FR (nice) Primer Gray color. $799*
- *Kichatna DH/FR (nice) Gray - $799
- *Denali HT (nice) Gray - $599
- Pumori HT nice components but in the ugly ugly green mentioned above. $369*
- Yavapai HT good entry level components in Coke can Red $299
- *Namotu HT Black - $249

All of the above were originally priced $200 higher than the price listed above.
I don't know if this was the price at Galayns or if Dicks took off the $200
as a clearance for the inventory inherited by Galayns.

The Pumori is a nice entry level XC Bike but what were they thinking when they picked that ugly color.
Go figure!

The discussion about spelling and grammar is obviously long overdue, as can be seen in some of the posts here. But it's not the topic of this thread. I moved most such posts to "Iv got a Noth Face" - the official spelling thread in Forum Suggestions & User Assistance.

Please continue spell checks there. Thanks.

Congratulations you've created a thread that's utterly meaningless without the context of the rest of the thread rather than address the issue behind the off topic posts.

man i cant figure it out? are north face bikes good or bad?? you guys are confusing me. Im looking at a North face bike at dicks sporting goods. It is for $799. It is the Kichatna model. IS this a good model. I really like the feel of the bike but people say it is crapy because of the full suspension. Can anyone tell me about this bike a little??? Is it kinda like the Iron Horse warrior?

The bottom line on these bikes (really!)-the frames and components aren't bad. Folks around here get hot and bothered when the subject comes up because of where the bikes are from. Dick's is not a bike shop. They are a general sporting goods store. Service after the sale, if provided at all, will be of a poor standard, when compared to that offered by a real bike shop. You are the one who has to pay for, and ride, the bike. What is most important to you?

If it were me, and I was going to spend $799 on a bike, I wouldn't buy at Dick's. Lots of great choices in your price range.

You make a good point about having $799 to spend and choosing to spend it elsewhere. I only had $300 to spend so I bought the Yavapai North Face... If I had more money I'd buy some on the higher end that weighs much less.

I had to carry my bike this weekend in a race and it was very heavy.

do you think dicks would sell me the Iron horse for less since they have probably had it in stock for like 2 years?? I mean you think they would liquidate it or something.

I can't tell you about whether they would reduce a price below their Sale Tag price but it's worth trying to negotiate.

Too easy. If I were going to badmouth, I'd get after you about your pedals. Then you would take it personally because I know you feel strongly about them. The thread would again balloon out of control and Expatriate would edit everything. People would still be taking pot shots at NF bikes while using AOLese and Kona would lock down the thread (but not before mtnbiker66 snuck in and insulted me). And there would be way too much hate. And I'm all about the love.

P.S. reflective tape works better

I had to get a longer seat post too.
You ever think about replacing the toe clips with Power Grips?

lol, I wrote, "He is my bike".

That translates to "Here is my bike."

I won't edit it. I used "lol", I used "Btw" so maybe Raiyn will kick my arse.

Well, about the Power Grips. Are power grips much better than cage pedals?

Hey guys,

I'm actually starting to like MTB'ing. I'm also considering whether I like it more than snowboarding.

I'll let you all know when and if I save up some money for a upgrade in my rig. Maybe a Cannondale, F1000-Furio

or a Phophet.

Then maybe I'll get some respect around here.

It's the internet - a fancier bike won't get you any additional respect from me, but the content of your posts will.

Oh how I love that tune...............

Ahywho, Edward , I am a bit anal about cable routing, but you might want to through a zip tie on that front brake cable. It looks like it is floating out there in the wind a bit. But maybe I am just a bit whacky. Either way . I run my front brake lever on the right side so maybe I am just not used to looking at it.
