I listen to industrial and heavy metal. For riding I like my music loud and abnoxious.
Please tell me you're joking. Someone must've had there head up their ass for the last twenty something years. U2 is one of biggest bands of all times (fact).

Arg. Can people read, this was in reference to the title. The guy who posted U2 as the band posted in the same instance

So what you are saying is that the original thread name was "Music U ride 2"??
If so, that might help clear up the confusion.

Funny you should ask... I just rode with my iPod for the first time a little while ago, and I loved it! I rode so much harder than I would have without it.

...and to answer your question, it was a mix of metal, punk, alternative, and rap.

Bono is a tool. He has an idea that the US needs to forgive world debt to the US. OK, Bono, make your concerts free instead of charging exorbitant prices for a sub par show.

Missed the fact you were the one that posted. Oh well, it was still comical on the timing aspect. For future reference, I know who u2 is, my gf is a huge fan and has had the chance to see them live a couple of times.

-Bono is far from a tool, and has done a lot to help people in africa.
-And exorbitant prices? The cost of tickets for the best seats in the house (5 feet from the band) is only $59.50 (canadian). Far cheaper than crappy stones tickets.
-And a sub par show? have you been to a u2 concert?

Metal. Mainly thrash metal when I ride, or speed metal. It all depends on how fast I am going.

These days... Pixies, Throwing Muses, The Happies, The Arcade Fire, The Bad Plus, Eagles of Death Metal, The Feelies, Gillian Welch, Interpol, Komeda, Lanterna, menomena, Mogwai, My Bloody Valentine, The New Pornographers, Spoon, Nicola Conte, Sigur Ros, Stufjan Stevens, Sun Kil Moon, Tom Waits, Viva Voce, Yo La Tengo, ok some U2 as well, to name a few. They don't make an iPod that fits my music collection...

I don't need to rock to put me in the mood to ride... and I never listen to music when the kids are with me.

Once in a while, I bring my Zen micro as well when doing rides on weekends. Most of the time, I consider it strictly no, no, as you need maximum awareness in traffic. But on open rural roads, I have this great playlist with FooFighters. (Best of You, Everlong etc.) I know that sounds like a cliche, the combination of rock and biking. But then again, I only listen on my road bike..

I had to start somewhere. My wife wouldn't have allowed a $2k bike right off the bat.

The bike snob 'tude is quite sickening. I have $14K in my HT...but when someone shows me their HTiB I don't get on some high horse belittling their purchase....that's just plain WRONG. Be a better person...show some compassion for goodness sake!

Now as far as what I ride to:
Atreyu
Black Sabbath
Motley Crue
Poison
Cinderella
Dokken
Avenged Sevenfold (except the new crappy cd)
Bury Your Dead
Hatebreed
King Diamond
Mercyful Fate
Pre-sellout Metallica
Element Eighty
Scorpions
Iron Maiden
WASP
G-N-R
Helloween
Killswitch Engage
Black Label Society
Ozzy
Tesla
Shadows Fall
Dio
Warrant
Winger
Trixter
Def Leppard
Bon Jovi
...to name a few...
