Time Atac XE - SPD compatible???

Hi all, I recently smashed one of my Shimano M424 pedals and am now in the market to replace them.

I was looking at the Time ones as I have heard very good reviews about them. One place where I saw the Time Atac XE advertised indicated that the are SPD compatible. Anyone know for sure if this is the case??? Anyone tried them?

Thanks in advance.

What that means is that they use the same bolt holes on your shoes as spd. You won't be using the same cleats, new cleats will come with the pedals. Time makes some great pedals.

Crankbrothers! www.crankbrothers.com
Do yourself a favor and get Eggbeaters or Candies. These pedals are awesome. They're the best clipless pedal you could ever buy hands down. https://www.jensonusa.com/store/produ...+C+Pedals.aspx

Time's are an excellent choice. Personally, they're all I'll use for clipless. The Crank Bros. offerings are overhyped in my opinion

I use Crank bros on both of my mountain bikes. The eggbeaters on one and the candy's on the other. It's all a matter of personal preference.

ditto, and the XE are a nice price. the lack of need to adjust things will take a bit of getting used to though
I have XS ( a lighter version of the XE) and Aliums on my bikes
