nice track. are there specific bmx and mountain bike tracks?

looks like some good clean fun. i wish i had one of those close to me.

C Law 11-04-05 07:17 AM

is that for motocross?

It would be fun to ride either way.

Cornish_Rdr_UK 11-04-05 07:27 AM

Looks good, I Wish i could just stumble along things like that down here.

You should have a blast out there. BMX in fun as hell on a mtb and the woops will help you to learn to pump over bumps to increase your speed.
Do they have any step-ups and table tops?

Enjoy.

Looks like one of those pump tracks. That could be a lot of fun, I like playing in the whoops :)

Drunken Chicken 11-04-05 09:44 AM

That looks SO fun! I've been looking around for one for a while now, still haven't found any near me. :(

WISHBONEjg 11-04-05 01:31 PM

Damn, that looks so cool!
I live in Brooklyn NY, and there is nothing to ride around me.
I have to suck it up and ride down some pretty small hills in the parks near me.
And the only jumps i have is thee extra mounds of dirt near the baseball diamonds.
I'm very jealous.

EJ123 11-04-05 01:39 PM

Wow totally tightness lol.

Safety First....yeah baby!!!!!!! They have been racing there for about two weeks. Its perfect smooth as glass and fast. My SS with the holyrollers are great there. It's got about 3 tables and 4 step ups. Gastro, next time your up we'll ride trails then do the track.

MadMan2k 11-04-05 09:51 PM

Cool, looks like a pretty fun track.. but that rythm section is pretty long.

Here's some photos of the track here:

I hate you guys...I'm seriously, here.

We've got a local track, but I don't know if we can ride MTB's on it or not....

MadMan2k 11-04-05 11:10 PM

Is there a cop watching all the time or something? :P

Yeah,it is long. The giy who built this one is the same guy who's building the olympic track (or so I hear). Very little flat on this track its all tables stepups and rollers. The sad part is it's next to my sons school and a lot of them take there bikes and ride during recess. No kick ball or running, they thrash the track. :D

Where about is that track and is it open to the public or is it private? Wouldn't mind going there and playing for a bit sometime.

what the heck are you talking about nothing to ride? you can always find walls, stair gaps, and cool stuff to play on. you just have to use your imagination. for instance there is this parking lot near me that has a big hill on each side, if you fly down one side and go up the other it has a nice lip, we just fly off that thing, it's like a dirt jump on steroids. you just have to keep your eyes open and you'll find stuff to ride, especially in a big city like NY

I've lived in NY all my life.
I've used my imagination as well... you have to when your an urban rider!
What i am talking about is dirt stuff, like the picture in this post.
after 31 years of riding the street, i seek something different... DIRT!
Plus, i don't have the time to search the mean streets of NY looking for some new cool stuff to ride,
as I am in work all day :(

madbiker555 11-07-05 05:21 PM

Lucky son of a b****! I wish I had that track near me! A local one near me is ok but its not great.

Most tracks, around here at least, will let you ride on a mtb. Some even have races for us 26inchers :D Just stop the track and ask. If you want a realy good workout use a 40+lb dh rig. We take ours out their for a bit of fun but it works your arse off.
