Marin Pine Mountain.. Don't know what it is, but the bike fits so well that it disappears beneath me on singletrack, and at times riding does feel telepathic. So sweet. Light, beautiful steel.

Now that is a very good question. I think I did a search, was reading it, forgot it was from a search and though meh, may as well contribute.

Gary Fisher Piranha. Justify my answer. Because it was a good bike at a reasonable cost...didnt scare the wife away being over-priced. She loves it, the ride and handling, and it gets her out on the mountain. I like it cuz of the price, decent shocks, disc brakes, and very sturdy frame. Therefore, it is the best in our opinion. Now if money was no object and our riding skillz better...wow, you just opened the door to a very wide open environment.
