My greatest and worst ride.

Man today I had a great ride. I went up a 2000+ foot climb I beat my record and got to the peak in an hour. (my best time has been over 2 hours in the past, but since I started conditioning Im alot faster)It was a wonderfull ride, I was fatigued but it was worth it. Great view, everything was great. On my way down(the fun part, the reward for going up the hill) and my back tire pops. WOW, is it possible to have the best and worst ride in the same ride? yes. Man this sucked, I had to walk something like 4-6 miles carrying my bike the entire time. It took me 2 hours to walk it. All the catastrophes that took place after I got into my car, I wont go into but wow this sucked.

Mr. F3 biker that tale is very sad. In my tribe we have many bikers who are foolish to bring no kits of patches or pumps for airing or tubes for sparing and they have learned the same lesson that you have being unprepared and not true bike person ready for trail to make them walk far when ridinbg should be dine easy like

also might I once again say solid rubber inside tire area fix popping problem easy like

still very sad because your story makes bad reading

That's not a happy ending to your ride, but I hope you learned your lesson and carry a patch kit and pump (or CO2) in the future.

As our un understandable member has pointed out I too run rubber in my tires along with slime. I also carry an extra tube and bottle of slime along with all the tools necesary to change said tube. I have pulled a small nail out of my tire and had it seal right back up. Now, running with the slime, does make the tire a bit wobbly. However, where I ride there are brutal goatheads and the trade off is well worht it. I probably caryy over ten pounds of shat in my camelback(+9mm) but I'm a bit of a nut. A good hike is always nice though. Look on the bright side at least you were not at work. By the way is there something wrong with me because I do understand meme?

I have slime in both my tubes and i havent noticed any unbalance or "wobblyness" from it. But that could be because im running big DH tyres on big DH rims.

Hey mr. Ican'tspeakenglishforcrap. Your a ******. Guess I'm not a "true bike person" now

On a serious note, honestly In all my biking I never carried a pump or a patch kit with me. My tire popped something like 3 times in the last week, which I patched allready so I didn't think I'd have a problem. Guess I learned.

Thats why were all laughing.

Anyways I went over to performance and bought 3 new innertubes, and a new mini pump to put into my backpack.

Check the tire for thorns big guy .

Oh, and a REAL no fear kind of guy wouldn't be afraid of 4-6 miles of DH with a flat rear.

Who said I was afraid lol, are you suggesting I should have rode the dh anyways and ruined my rear rim? I was pissed because I wasn't getting to ride down all that wonderfull downhill. I actually hooked my bike into my backpack and walked with it hanging off my back lol
