Music you Ride to?
If you ride listening to music, what inspires you?

Throw the stick!!!!
I don't listen to music while on the bike but the rest of the time I listen to a little of everything. The majority of the time my radio stays tuned to Faction on Sirius. They always play good music that keeps me in the mood to get out and do something.

Yeah, I find riding with headphones on is pretty distracting. not only can you not hear what's goin on around you, but the cord can be dangerous as it can whip your a$$ off the bike in a matter of seconds... not that that's ever happened to me... which it hasn't, but a loose pantleg in the chain accomplished that. Buuuut I like to listen to a lot of punk, classic rock, and some big band jazz stuff (buddy rich, kruppa).

I listen to industrial and heavy metal. For riding I like my music loud and abnoxious.

Last time I checked (or AFAIK) "U2" was a band and answered the poster's original question (however lame it was)...
(multiple meanings and uses of U2 acknowledged)

Sorry Mael, but the joke's on YOU this time.... U2 is a very popular band.
It surprises me beyond belief that you (or anyone else in the world) wouldn't know that....

Just funny timing with his post being immediately after someone writing about the band U2.

Try to break the ice since I'm new, responses in negativity aren't very welcoming.

Oh come on, Maelstrom certainly knows who U2 is. Even my wife's swiss cousin (who speaks no English) heard U2 come on the car radio when she was here and screamed "C'EST BONO!" from the backseat- almost made drive us off the road... apparently she's a big fan.
I bring an mp3 player and portable speakers which go in my handlebar bag with me on tours. I have everything from Nintendo music to Jazz and Hard Metal on there. Anything but Hill Billy, haha. It's nice to have something to pace yourself with when you're mashing up a hill, fully loaded.

Well, I guess I'm going to be the first one to say this, and I'll be laughed at a lot, but I like to listen to rap before I ride. All the talk about rims and girls and the bling gets me all worked up and ready to pound down the trails. Lately I have been getting ready for my rides while listening to Young Jeezy.
