What is better Altus or Avilio?

I know it's all a bit low end but I have to replace my shifters on an 8 speed set as I upgrade my brakes. I'm sure in the next few months I'll replace the whole gear set.

Cheers... :)

Many thanks - I'm going to get myself a pair of Avilio for now. I guess it's still better than my current Altus shifters/brake levers.

We got a mountain biker come into the shop last week requesting a FULL conversion to XTR over the entire bike! Can't remeber off hand what bike it was, could be Cannondale but not too sure. He must have had a lot of money to spend, that would have been some wicked bike to ride when it was done :D

Well that is good to know, when these first came onto the market I was wondering where they fitted in. I just thought it was the way I put it, as that is how Shimano have it listed on their website.
