hey guys just need some advice in buying a new bike.

i got my eyes set on the SPECIALIZED BIG HIT but i have also been looking at some KONA bikes. im still pretty new to mtb and ive been riding an 05 enduro and i like the light responsive feel , but lately ive been getting air and riding more downhill and im breaking my balls on this bike.i need a bike that i can get BIG AIR and still handle nice in downhill.I guess the qualities im looking for are ,DURABLE,LIGHT,RESPONSIVE .So basically freeride/downhill if that exist. here is a list of the bikes in my price range. i got links with all the parts and specs so if anyone would like to help out, it should be easy.THANKS!!

I'm a big fan of Specialized. Great warranty, lots of bang for the buck.

Having said that, Kona makes some great bikes, too.

I think you can't go wrong with either of those brands.

If you have the money, go for the stab deluxe.

Both are high up on my list. I may be a bit behind on Kona latest offering-- Specialized seems to be leading the bar with suspension design. That being said, I am going to have a very hard time deciding between the two for my All-Mountain bike.

Your choices are all good for your purposes. I'd say test ride them all and go with what feels right to you.

Go with the specialized!!!!!!!!!

Whats your phone number??? :D
I'm just messin. But take it as a compliment if you will.

As far as specialized or Kona, go with a coilair if you wnat something lightweight. Weights 33 pounds for 6 inches front and rear. Which is more than enough if you know what your doing. Your enduro should be fine, however. Unless you are hitting really big jumps and drops.

jeez what a decision!!!!

After careful consideration into Looks, durability, responsiveness, weight, and componentry. This is my conclusion.

If you are looking at durabilty as a priority factor and weight and responsiveness comprimised, then I will have to say go for the Specialized. On the other hand if you want light and responsiveness then I would go for the Kona Stab Deluxe. The only week points I can see on the Kona are the top cast pivot arms and the rear disc break support arm. I cannot really tell what the strength is properly for the castings on the picture so it will be best to take a look yourself.

And then Finally as everyone always say, try and take them for a test ride, at the end of the day, if the is good backup service then I would go for performance.

Go To you LBS and try them out if they have any of them. Cuase I wouldn't buy anything with out trying it first. Bikes I mean. And thoughs bikes are not cheap so..
