Hahaah im sorry but forever reason the idea of you getting worked up over someone possibly cornering you with a machette is funny.

I mean lets get some real phobias happening....like a grusome death by the wheels of a semi or something

I was going to say someting along those lines. Anyone who doesn't have a mag on them at all times is just plain stupid...

I doubt it will ever happen, and even if it did just give them the bike, unless your some super dooper fighter.

I carry a knife, just in case. Some pretty freaked up guys have given me odd "im gonna take that thing" looks even when I ride my bmx, so I take my knife. I practice using it too. I hope it never comes down to that sort of violence though.

huh that's just not RIGHT just to hand your stuff over to some goof ball just like that.
I look at it as , i had to fight to aquire that bike so i fight to keep it, regardless of win lose or draw.

I think the 2 of you are idiots.

What are you going to do with the knife? Kill someone or possibly be killed to keep your bike? Get a grip. I don't know about you yahoos, but id be left feeling alot worse over killing someone over a 'thing' than i would be over paying my deductable on my insurance.

Worse yet, you'd risk your life for your bike? Are you really so invaluable that you're worth less than $1000? Or do you just think you're invincable?

Think about that one when they are opening a can of whup' A** on you first
it's not about the price of the bike with me nor is it thinking i am bad or being invincible.
It's all about what's mine is mine & that's it. No one is going to take anything of mine without a fight in trade.I am sure you might feel much better just handing your gear over & possibly be stomped uppon or worse rather than "doing one to other before one can do to thou."
Hey, more power to you.
That's what a lot of those goofballs prey on , just handing over the goods & once they see you are passive in the situation, they know they are in control of you & the situation at hand ,then what's next?
No thanks, i would rather go out with my pride, dignity & my pants up around my waist if need be

No one wants/thinks it to come about. It is good to keep the thought in the back of the mind though. It can possibly help you one day.

Im not about to stand around and get stomped without a fight. But if someone has a gun, or a knife or a baseball bat in my face, then yeah, im going to hand over my bike. My sense of pride, dignity, and self worth is not so fragile that i need to risk my life over a 'thing' to keep it in tact.

But its your life, and your stuff....handle it how you will.

But think about it though, a knife has gotta be what? 500 grams? Dead weight my friend, dead weight

The problem is when you bring a knife to a gun fight.

That's a great move. This way you can hand over your bike to your lawyer. Cause you are certainly going to need one.

Amen brother. S&W 340PD with Winchester SXT's in the bento box. Yes, it's the nuclear option, and I wouldn't argue over the bike. But, if my life is in jeopardy, my wife and four kids deserve that I'll have a fighting chance. Most bikers won't pack heat, but it's an individual option. I've heard all the arguments against it, but I shoot competitively (pistol, rifle and shotgun), and I am well aware of the pros/cons.
