sorry, but this is old news

That was awesome. I started out with a Schwin Scrambler. It was basically a Stingray with double welds and more/thicker spokes (36, I think) on the wheels. Ahh, that definitely brought back some memories from the late 70's. I eventually upgraded to a Roger Decoster and then a Hutch.

i actually just bought this on DVD, and i loved it! a great movie to watch if you were or are into BMX, or just bikes in general. lots of good, old footage, and some new-ish footage. super informative and fun to watch.

I'm pretty jazzed on seeing this. It's kind of funny how Mark Eaton has kind of been the Stacy Peralta of BMX. He was really the first one in BMX to jump on the video train with the Dorkin' in York series. Now he has done a historical documentary. I can't think of anyone better to take on the project.

Yep. And once you slapped on some GT forks, Proneck stem, Tuff Wheels II, Shimano DX pedals, a snake bite rear tire, a plastic seat with no padding, and a laid back seat post-- I was ready to go. Anyone else know what I am talkin' about?
I just realized the picture I have for this forum is me on the Roger Decoster back in 1983!!! Once I upgraded to the Hutch, I built up the Roger Decoster so I could jump into the lake. Ahhh, makes me feel warm and fuzzy just to think about it. |
