Lonely trail, and mother nature at work.

The usual spot before work this afternoon. Saw one other rider. A whole lotta' dear, and a few rabbits.

Some timer sequence shots. I love the adjustable timer/number of shots on this cam!

The other rider. He was coming up as I was heading down. We had a nice chat about bikes,
the White Rim trail, bikes, the emptiness of the trail, the chilly-but-oh-so-nice day, and bikes. Totally digging the Surly "baked bean brown" color of his frame and fork.

Hurt rabbit, down near the trail start. Something was awful wrong with his hind legs; they were splayed out and twitching, while the rest of his body shook. I tried to get him off trail at least, and let nature progress as She is wont to do. Hopefully opne of the coyote will make things quick. Alot of the critters up here are plague carriers, so I was reluctant to get too hands on with him.

Thanks for looking!

Nice Pics, where exactly are you? after Monday, the trails near here still have too much snow, just enough to hide the ice and make the riding really dicey. I last rode on Sunday, plenty cold, but now snow.
I may try some of the trails closer to Denver, the lower elevations trails should be clear.

i'm in longmont, about 20 minutes northeast of boulder. trail was hall ranch. my default trail when i don't want to drive anywhere. it's about 10 minutes away from me when i'm lazy and drive it. about 20-30 to ride there.

yeah, most everything under about 8k feet seems to be dry around here for the most part. little bits of wet/snow, but not much.

i take it you're up higher?

Those are really nice pics. Thanks for sharing. That sure beats my boring ride through the development on a hybrid today. (Ugh)

Haha the rabbit:lol:

Totally different ride that what I just got back from, my ride was snow covered with frozen creek crossings, plus it was dark out. But anyway, nice pics...I miss riding on nice bare trails. Snow is fun but you always have to hold back a bit because you never know what is under the snow.

i was hoping for some snow. this trail is a blast when it's got some snow cover on. we got some a bit more west of there yesterday, but nothing that close/lowdown.

:( I'm jealous.

Looks like a nice easy trail. All we have here now is snow, mud and ice. I _REALLY_ Want to do a nice trailride :(.

Why? Why are you laughing about an injured rabbit, ***hole! I hope a bunch of people stand around and laugh when you are dying.

By the way, thank you for the pictures, scrublover.

I am closer to Conifer, 83-9000 ft.
I used to work in Broomfield, know exactly where Longmount and Hall Ranch is.
