Carbon seatpost

What are some brands that are "known" for this type of part. If I switch to one either for my HT or not, will I see a noticable difference?

no problem, but dont take my word for it though, it just seems scary to me to add weight to carbon especially when mountain biking.

Im sure other people have far more experience with this than i do.

I've always said that carbon seatposts are a waste of money on a MTB. The Thomson posts are usually LIGHTER than carbon and won't break as easily. I can tell you one thing I don't want to have a colonoscopy performed by a broken CF post.

That plus the fact that carbon posts on a freeride bike is just plain stupid from the get go
