crookede valve stem?

I've got a rigid singlespeed that has 2.4s on it, so I can run low pressure in the 20s for shock absorption purposes as well as traction. however, I find that whenever I run low pressure, my valve stem gets crooked. Is there any way around this?

deflate tire. align valve stem. be sure to use one of the stem lock washer/nuts to keep the stem in tight/upright. reinflate.

that always works for me, and i'm running fat tires with fairly low pressure too.

if that doesn't do it, then something is going wrong.

i believe you can use a mild bonding agent (one that can easily be broken by hand for servicing obviously) as a bead lock. however, i don't recall what it was.

someone should answer soon

its schrader, no nut. I'm sure that if it were presta, I wouldnt be having this problem. If my rims were drilled for presta, I'd be using prestas in a second, since thats what I'm used to on my roadbike.

There are little grommet like adapters that allow you to use presta in schrader drilled rims - I use 'em.
