Rear shocks

What are some good quality rear shock models that could come with a 7.5 length, for about 300-400 dollars? Thanks

There is the Avalanche DHS, got to check if they make one in the length. You also need to know the stroke of the rear shock,

Or maybe 2.5.

Why would it matter if I just put the new shock in with a different stroke that goes with it?

you are supposed to get the same length/stroke as the shock that came with your bike.

the engineers have made the bike to work how it is supposed to with those specific mesurements. and changing it will throw the bike off the balence that it was on.

according to mountain bike action, not word for word

Avalanche is good. There's also the Fox DHX 5.0 or the Cane Creek Double Barrel, all of which have a solid reputation. Not sure if they come in the proper size though, you will have to research that yourself EJ123.
