Starter Bike?
 

I am looking at either getting a Gary Fisher Advance or Tarpon, a Haro V1, a Trek 3700, or a Giant Boulder SE. Which is the best bike?

The best bike is the Fisher Mako, because of it's *****in' money green color. I am buying one for the frame, going to turn it into a singlespeed though and will really only ride it around with my two year old son. Green bikes are the best.Ever.

I'm looking for a bike with the same price range, and ive been looking at similar bikes.. Anything more to say about them other than a colour?

Sorry, I was being silly. I would suggest what the gent above me just posted, ride then decide. the "best" bike for you is the one that fits you (your body), fits the terrain your riding on (road, singletrack, paved bike paths, etc) and that fits nicely into your budget. At this level they are roughly the same bike, just different colors...hee hee. Seriously though, the green on the Mako is an excellent color. Like I said before I wanted a bike for putzing around with the little guy so color and price were my primary concerns. Enjoy
