Welcome back DnA362. There're lots of good trails in your area (I'm in GSO).

If you haven't already, check out https://www.trianglemtb.com/.

Greensboro, NC. We have several good trails in our town. If you ever come this way, I would be more than happy to show you around.

sounds good... thanks
I almost made the trip out there to get a bike, a KONA Hoss Delux, being they were the only Kona dealer near by (Recycle), but opted against it due to how far it would be for service or support.
I figured if my fat a$$ cracks the GF frame, the lifetime warranty would replace it, and id have the bennefit of having my lbs being close to the house. altho i dont think im gonna get hardcore enough to crack frames anytime soon.

Good luck with the new bike and give a shout if you ever make it this way.

Definitely looks like it would be a good time to ride w/ them based on this thread...
https://www.bikeforums.net/mountain-biking/170040-found-new-spot-today-pics.html
but my skills are a few levels below theirs, but once I get more comfortable on a bike again I plan on seeking some riding buddies here locally, and being that Greensboro isnt that far away Id like to get up w/ them and ride, hang out, and learn a few things...
