Frame swap question.
I own a 05 Specialized Hardrock Comp Disc. The bike is great. I live in Chico CA and go mountain biking as much as possilble. My question is if there is a Full suspension frame that can be easily swapped. Im kinda new to mountain biking but am extremely capable mechaically wise. I work in a machine shop and go to school for Manufacturing so slight modifications are not a problem. I always see full suspension frames for sale and have been wondering this for awhile. And if swapping the frame is not a problem if I could get some good frame recomendations in the 300-600 dollar range I would much appreciate it.

well you will need new cables, because your existing cables might be too short. (hopefully too long so you can just cut the proper amount needed) you might also have to get a longer chain. i dont think there are any good full suspension frames out there for 600 bucks...
good luck

Check your head tube length to see if your current fork's steerer tube is long enough. Also you may need to get a new front derailleur (may need a top swing, or a down swing, and/or a different clamp size), and a seatpost.

You might want to look on pinkbike.com they have lots of good used FS frames on sale but before you buy make sure it will all work out.

Several things to look at:
Bottom bracket size (68 or 73)
Headtube length (make sure current fork will fit)
Possible new brake and gear cables
Front Derailler clamp size
If you use rear rim brakes, make sure new frame has brake bosses
Seat post width
