I would just like to say one thing, fat people in spandex. If they are riding a bike it is GREAT!!! They realize they want to lose weight and are willing to work at it! I have alot of respect for them, I have never been heavy but have wanted to lose a few pounds and it is HARD to do.

What really bugs me, is the occasional times I race XC. I race beginner Clydesdale, because I only do so once or twice a year. I know I won't win, but it's frustrating when I see sub 200 lb guys who should probably be in Sport class, racing Clydesdale just to win! Sandbaggers Suck!

Posers just make me laugh! I think posers are football fans on bikes. They are the same type of people who wear their favorite players jerseys and paint their faces.

Fat guys in Spandex, hey! That's me! And I really don't care what you think of me! (too much!)

Pompous ass people that have to judge other people.

Keep in mind that there will ALWAYS be someone faster, smarter, have more skill, better looking have more money etc that you. Everything is relative.
Ride and have fun don’t worry about what other peoples intentions for being on the trail are.

Never make fun of a person trying to get fit.You just don't know what they will look like in a year. I work at a gym an I have seen people losing 50 to 100lbs in a year,Just with hard work.This site is#1

I voted sandbaggers. People trying to get in shape is cool; people who are posers are good entertainment. Now, people who sandbag are just outright losers! I mean, give me a break, they ruin the race for those who could've had a chance and might possibly decide to never race again because of the experience. I wish race sponsors would look at results and pull the "win" from those who are obviously sandbagging (you know, win by 30 minutes or more, etc.). Maybe they'd get the picture then... [/rant}

Sanbaggers...something has to be done about that. How hard is it going to be to get new beginners with sandbaggers grabbing the wins.

Sandbaggers are cheating, with intent.
Posers are at least riding a cycle and harm no one with their show.
Presumeably, spandex attired heavy people are working to change a condition. This is IMHO positive behavior.

Since I first wore spandex on my bicycle, I have lost 60 pounds. People now tend to mistake me as a fairly fit athlete. They don't know that I am actually a fat guy in spandex.

None of my thoughts on other cyclists should be of concern to them. They are just thoughts. My activities are undertaken completely without regard for what anyone but I think.
