Now that just adds to the comic attraction of this thread - Hank/Pete you kill me. I really got a kick out of that post - no kidding. Stand by for the request to pick him up on your way to the trailhead.

I'll put 3 bent spokes on there not being an 'event' tomorrow for one reason or another. I'll offer up the temporary services of a front wheel if it becomes needed in the future (just need to come to Monterey and get it) Mavic 517 laced to White Ind hub - it's FAST!!!! just need some rubber and it's good to go.

Everyone knows my bike is crappy. I don't see why everyone seems surprised something needs replacing on it. I've spent around 250-300 dollars replacing things in just the last month.

I think the whole point of the ride is missing through the smoke...
There is something to be gained by riding together,regardless of bike condition or skill
You 2 might learn things from each other on the ride,you know.
