Mounting Direction - Panaracer T-Serv
Hi,
This might be a dumb question but I just purchased a set of Panaracer T-Serv tires and I'm not sure which direction to mount the tires? Can anyone tell me which direction to mount the tires given the tread pattern?
Thanks for your help!

I don't think it matters.
I'm pretty sure the shape (profile) of the tire plays more of a role in water dispersal than does tread pattern.
I think I read somewhere (sheldonbrown.com?) that tread patterns on semi-slicks are just for looks...
That being said, I mounted my TServs with the 'V' tread shape pointing forward, because it makes me feel better.
example: FRONT <<<<<<<<< BACKTread does affect traction to some extent, but since the reverse tread 'valleys' on the TServs are so shallow,
I don't think mounting orientation can have that much of an effect, if any at all.
The rule of thumb is to mount the tire with the label on the drive side (right) of the bike,
but since TServs have labels on both sides, this rule cannot be applied.

The largest brand label goes on the drive side (right side) of the bicycle. It goes down by the reflector, opposite the valve stem. You may choose to mount the rear tire backwards if you are doing mountain bike trails on a semi-slick.
