I want to get an idea of how much I'll have to spend before making my bike rideable again. I don't need a wheelset, just one single rim (I CAN reuse my spokes and hub right), I don't need anything fancy, just some economical rim.

You can get cheap ones from your LBS (I've gotten some for $20 and less) but you may need different spokes if the rim's dimensions are different than your current rim (i.e., the slope of the rim from the edge to the eyelet).

Depends on the rim really, also from what Never said. Never reuse spokes, you're just asking for a catastrophic failure if you do.

Yah, splrurge and spend the extra $30 or so and get some new spokes.

Yep, figuring that spokes are only $.50 a spoke $32 is enough for 64 spokes, $36 for 72, $50 for 100 and that includes the nipples.

Okay, so I'm gonna need a good 60$ or so to put my bike back on the trails... damn, you just gotta hate old defective bikes...

These past week has been the worst I've had.

Nope, then you have to put into play the price of rimstrips and building costs. Rimstrips are fairly cheap, but you're looking at anywhere from $50-$80 labor per front wheel and $60-$90 per back wheel.

Total cost will be anywhere from: $156 to $216 for 32 spoke wheels.
$160 to $220 for 36 spoke wheels

I can't express my frustration and anger enough right now... I've spent like 100$ on this bike already, its still a POS, now I need even more money spent on this and with my luck, something will brake when I rde my bike again, probably, a derailleur, a lever, the fork, my brakes who knows, maybe the frame will snap in two.

Stupid KHS Sport and I can't get a good bike at a reasonable price because as twisted as the world is, and even though MTB is popular here, 300$ bikes are 600$ here and we have an 80% poverty rate in my country (yes that is right, 80% of inhabitants here struggle to survive, thankfully, I'm not part of that percetnage).

Definitely a terrible week this has been, but nevermind me, I'm just expressing my rage in the only way I can.

Those are my prices for my builds. You may get lucky and find a set of prebuilt wheels for cheaper. Custom wheels are not cheap.

Well if you can find a cheap rim for $20ish then get 32 spokes and nipples (assuming you have a 32 hole hub) for a buck a piece, you're at about $50. Then go to Sheldon Brown's site, read about lacing your own wheel then do your own. Get everything snug and take it to your LBS for a trueing...that should be about $10-20.

Or you can check on ebay and get a full wheelset for cheap.

Yeah, might want to look into prebuilt wheels. You can get some Rhyno Lite's laced to Deore, which are good if you don't plan on doing anything to extreme (I run them and they have been awesome) for $89 a set at Jenson. Or if you want, you can learn and build them yourself...
