Needed-narrow spaced-120-126mm-mtb rear wheel

I need to get a narrow spaced rear mtb(26") wheel-126 or 120mm.I'm guessing that there are 126mm ones out there-wouldn't that have been the original spacing?
It could be any brand-just as long as it is functional.Any freewheel-cassette ok(as long as it is possible to still get one)
Any ideas where to find same?Anyone have one? Thanks.Charlie

Can you find an old 7spd ultegra or 105 hub that is 126? What type of cassette, freewheel or spaced out single sprocket do you plan to use? That mayl be the determining factor on the hub.

Assuming the frame is steel, you could probably run a 130mm (modern road spacing) wheel with no problems. It would be easier to find.
