Gold for England strictly speaking. Good on him though.

Yes it was a great race! I was there, making my way around to differen't points, (i saw myself on TV
!!). Kileen really went hard and kept the pace up, yes did do a few shifty moves! Very smart though, he really played a nice tactical ride. I was conerened when Chris went out so hard, I know he likes to be out in front but he really pushed himself too hard in my opinion and just lost it on the last 2 laps.
Didn't see any spills, although i saw on TV some guys tyre came completley off the rear wheel near the rock garden!
!. I think they did an awesome job, that course is very challenging, you need to be fit, and over 2 hours of straight riding all the riders really did a great job.

Kenya guys did alright, i saw one of them fell off, but he got back on his bike. It was dissapointing Chris Jongeward fell back after the last 2 laps when we was leading. He was 1 min 30 seconds in front of the others until he just lost it in the last 1 1/2 laps.
Overall it was a good race and so was the womens.
Edit- I saw on TV, which i didn't see at the race, that a large Kangaroo hopped right over the board walk nearly taking out a Canadian rider.

Chris Jongeward showed everyone a classic example of going too hard to early. Having said that if the race was a lap shorter he would have won. I was exhausted just watching it on tv they all have incredible fitness.

More importantly... the Canadian woman did well with a one - three finish! Way to go Marie-Helene, destroying the field!
