Selling parts. Should I donate to a charity instead? If so, recommendations?

The 'For Sale' boards get very little traffic, so sorry for the cross-post, but: I have some MTB parts for sale. Specialized/Shimano hubs, Specialized handlebar, Bontrager bar ends, & a bike stand.

Now, for the 'this has enough content so it's not just a spam' part of the post:

If nobody buys the stuff, can anyone recommend a worthy charity to donate the extra bike parts to? I don't want to dump them off at Goodwill, because I'm not sure they'll go to the best use. I'm thinking along the lines of a place that provides bikes or parts/service to needy families. I'd prefer it to be in the U.S.A., but I'm open to sending them abroad if there's nothing here.

I have a friend that is just graduating university with me, and he is a bit of a charity case himself. He lived on $10/week groceries for a while.

I went on a ride with him yesterdayk, and both of his Deore hubs are worn out. There was about 2-3mm of play in the hub even after tightening. So if the price is right for the hubs, I'd pay you a bit of money, and you can somewhat donate the hubs to him??

Cheers,

Ming
