New brake levers!

I just received a new set of AVID Speed Dial Ti V brake levers. I was wondering if anyone can explain to me how to install them. I just need to know if there is any way to install them without removing the grips? If not, than how can I remove the grips without destroying them? Also, would these brake cables work with the AVID Speed Dial Ti V brake levers? https://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...MEWA%3AIT&rd=1
Iam guessing that the "PEAR AND BARREL" fit will work?

You have to take off the grips, I'd recommend buying lock on grips as well, because they are so easy to remove and put back on.

I went ahead and took of the grips. I used a flat top screwdriver and used it as a lever and sprayed spray nine into the grip. After this the grip came off as easy as butter. I than went ahead and installed the lever. I than waited for the grip to dry of the spray nine and than went ahead and sprayed the inside of the grip with hair spray. I was wondering it I have done anything wrong?
