15, cross country. I don't see how FR/DH could be fun, you wouldn't have to work as much ;) :p For some reason, I love events that tax your legs and lungs to the max. Screw the big air and 8" supension.

47 and just beginning on a Mountain bike.

If I had the money for a fr bike I'd like to try that. Until then, xc is ok.

The adrenaline and the rush is what makes FR/DH the best. I just think that big air and tricks is awesome and makes the sport very interresting. I love how, back in 99/00 mountain biking was basicly nouthing. The air that people were getting in the first NWD was next to nouthing and the tricks were also limited to nouthing and how the top of the line mountain bikes had 50 mills of travel and little tiny weak frames. And now, 6-7 years later theres freeriders dropping off 50-60 foot cliffs and jumping massive gaps, and how now the best top of the line mountain bikes have 200mill of travel and are as strong as a truck and have parts on them that is more complex and stronger than a most parts on a vehicle. I love how the sport is rapitly growing and expanding. I even can't wait till 07 to see Norcos new bikes, for example. I love the sport!

There has never been a successful 50+ft drop completed. Show me the vid where it happens and I might believe you. It was very easy within a couple of posts to see you came from pinkbike... |
39 for about 3 more weeks. I just ride.......a lot. I think what rocky rider is talking about has been beat to death on here. That's so middle school/pinkbike.
|
I think overall the mtb sport as a whole is growing. As in the every day person is getting into biking more than before. As far as xtreme freeride I wouldn't know. But watching nwd 6 and retrospective sure gets me pumped :)
