Dam BMX'ers
 

Hey dudes, im pissed off. If you go into the BMX section of the forums, theres a guy called stuey, and he's saying that MTB's suck, and Diamondback are the best bike or BMX's but not for MTB's. Im pissed, because I've got a Diamondback MTB!

Alot of the guys in here started out BMX.

I think you are going to find most mtbers have a respect for what bmxers can do. They can't do all the things we can do and we can't currently do what they do. It is really two very different types of riding and skills.

Besides he is probably young and doesn't realize the potential of using BOTH. I don't, can't and have never bmxed but I realize its impact in the sport of mtbing and respect that impact.

As for the diamondback mtb. Well....hmmm....Diamond back makes awesome bmxes.

Like Lance says it's not about the bike.

If it was about the bike, he'd be requesting a Colnago or Fondriest.

The whole thing sounds a little childish, why don't we do the adult thing and ignore it?

BMXer's trashing MTB's, XCer's trashing Freeriders and Downhillers. So most people try and say, "Hey, we are all on bikes, lets all get along." Then you go and slag people on skateboards. Whats the point? Your profiling a person because they skate. Same as a person profiles a person who rides a BMX/XC/Freeride/Downhill bike. Its senseless, and really doesnt help the "Lets all get along" message. Thats why I hoped you were joking. Not everyone who skates is an @$$hole regardless of the stories you may have read or group of kids you may have seen.

I'm sorry, I just watched "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back" ( <--- by the way, I should have underlined that but I'm too lazy to hit that button :) ) so my response to this entire thread (Diamondback trashing, mtb and bmx cursing, and aol-ese criticism) is HEY, THAT'S WHAT THE INTERNET WAS CREATED FOR! ! ! you know, I really dont mind skaters, (hey man, that stuff is hard, I've tried it!) but what gets on my nerves is when people act like skaters, hang with skaters, wear skater clothes, but in reality, they don't skate, they only smoke up and sit around all day because they are too blazed to move.
