New helmet!!

My old helmet hasn't fit me for awhile. So I decided to get a new helmet. I went over to performance and I literally tried on every large size they had. Giant, giro, bell, some italian company. I tried everything. I found one helmet that fits my fat head. The universal size for the bell slant.

It fits perfectly. After I grew out my hair, helmets stopped fitting lol.

50 bucks. Honestly I was hoping for something really cheap, like 30 bucks. But none of those fit me

The trick to large hair & helmets is to wet your hair, slick it back, and then put the helmet on. My kid just got his haircut & his large helmet was really, well, LARGE! Personally, I think the extra padding might help protect your head....

I usually wear a bandanna over my head to keep the wind from blowing my hair all around. I wanted to feel like my head wasn't getting pinched which most helmets feel like they are. This helmet feels like there is a bit of extra room for my head which I like.

Ken please grow up

I have actually been looking for a helmet for a while. None seem to fit my head properly, except the TLD I have which isn't exactly great for xc. My issue has never been size but shape. Most are too round.

Nice helmet nof3ar

I always had a difficult time finding a stylish helmet that would fit properly, then i found a Giro Xen on sale for $50cdn, tried it on, and it fit great, so i snatched it up. Great looking helmet, and very comfortable.

I've got that helmet as well, it works great. I sont like those shiny black helmets, so finding a "dull" black was hard.

a BMX helmet is the roundest non full faced helmet I can find. I got a Mongoose multiimpact capable one for cooler weather, modified the venting some and now I can use it year round but usually use my Louis Gearneau Tbone mostly because its a LOT lighter. the BMX helmet is awesome but heavy

I'd like to think my head is less roundish and more ovalish. The giros seem to be roundish. The bells seem to be more ovalish. All of the larges only fit heads up to like 23''. The universal size for bell(this is one of the only models I saw that had a universal size) is 21-24.5''. When I put it on and it wasn't squeezing my head, I was so freaking happy. Plus the adjuster on the inside is adjustable with a little dial, instead of the one I had before where you had to squeeze on both sides to adjust.

I also scored big with the flat black and silver color. I hate all the glossy helmets too lol.

some folks call my kid "little Tink" after his hair grow out, which it will - he's good for one cut per year, and as an old hippie, that's fine with me. I am SO tired of see bald headed bikers in lycra.

Oh I forgot to say, I bought a new pair of kool stop canti brake pads. Im poor so I only got em for the front. Freaking way better stopping power. I mean, they are no hydros, but better than before.

Of course Im still having the problem of my back tire randomly going flat. I don't think its the fact my rear wheel is a little untrue, because I don't see it rubbing against anything.

You really need to post a pic of yourself so we can see what we're dealing with here.

Thats funny, I always imagined you look ridiculous anyway.

I suspect Siu Blue is really a man, will need pics to disprove this theory...

Hey, I resemble that remark......whenever I actually get around to shaving my head that is.
