Fork Pump Question

Forgive me... this may be a stupid question. I have a Rock Shox Duke SL. It did not come with a fork pump. Would a Marzocchi Fork Pump - schrader - 200psi (max pressure on the Duke is 180psi) (http://pricepoint.com/product1631.html) work with my fork? Does it matter that it is not a Rock Shox pump? Anyone have any other suggestions?

Yeah, any fork pump will work. A regular floor pump or mini-pump will NOT! A CO2 catridge will work, but barely! Enough to get you back to the car!

My wife's rear shock was too stiff, and a quick little burst to let some air out took way too much out, so a CO2 gave enough to get back to the trailhead and shock pump in the truck!

huh? the Duke SL (should) come with a pump... did you buy it used? if you bought it new, I'd try calling Rock Shox and see if they will send you one.... worth trying considering you might save $25

as for the pump it looks exactly like the one I got when I purchased my Duke XC, and it actually goes up to 300 psi.... go figure

it's a shrader valve. It'll do the trick perfectly.
As for fittings here goes. Rockshox-standard shrader valve Marzocchi-shrader valve with special attachment Fox-Shrader valve Manitou-shrader valve

I bought the 2002 closeout (100mm - $169) from Supergo. I was wondering if it should have come with a pump. I'll write them an email.

Hello, The fork you have ordered does not come with a pump. Yes, we do put in small items that have been order with the big item in the same package. Thank You, Supergo Customer Service

My RS SID did not come with a pump, but I bought one from nash... for $15. The progressive that came with my Bullit did have one, it's a Fox, it looks exactly like the one I bought from Nash... but with a different sticker.

I won't buy from Nash... again, I've been getting terrible service from them lately. I've spent about 7 jillion dollars with them over about the last 15 years and they are fussing with me over a $35 item that they did not include in my last package, but charged me for anyway.

Perform.... still has good service, or better yet your LBS.

I got my Duke XC from a LBS, and he opened a brand new box for me to show me the pump included... maybe these mail order places try to make an extra buck by selling them seperately?

Vegas- I think that may be true sometimes. I know that on Supergo's web site they are selling the zoc Super T, they also say it doesn't include the hub in small print. Their picture shows the hub. Also, on the zoc site they say that the hub and stem comes with it. Maybe when they get big enough they can get away with this. LBS for me, at least when it is at all reasonable...

SKS (Germany) makes a universal pump comes in a wood box and has adapters for Rock Shox, Manitou, and Marzocchi. It also has adapters for most rear shocks. Nice pump in a cool package.
