Wow, talk about sudden breakthroughs...
I don't know what happened to me, I went from barely being able to sidehop and hop backwards keeping my balance to in less than a day being able to sidehop stairs and turn around by hopping as well being able to keep my balance by hopping in the same place, I don't know what it is but suddenly the light clicked on... and the lurch is only getting better and better.
Amazing, yes I know you don't care about my mini achievements but its nice having a place to let all that excitement out

The same thing happened to me. Are you going to take trials seriously and get a trials bike?

Godamn right Chone... thats the stuff I love to hear.
I remember when that little light just clicked on and everything became clear to me.
A trial buddy of mine told me this when I first started doing trials and having problems getting the bike where I wanted to go.
Jump the obstical and bring the bike with you.
Now that you have the sidehop... you need to try a sidehop 180.
Lurching will come in time. Its very hard todo if your not on a actual trials bike, but possible on anything. But when you do get that actual trial bike, the feeling you get will be like nonother.
Trials is all about mastering those "mini" skills. Most trials riders spend years just mastering some "mini" skills. JapSlap, BashRing to rear, hook-ups... memories are just flooding me as I type this, recalling the hours, weeks, years I have spent just learning, and still am.
Keep practicing, and dont give up. Thats what sperates trials from all other; because Trials is king.
