suspension for jumps?

hi,
i have a front suspension mtb, i have used it mainly for cycle tracks, but i would like to start jumping and down hill stuff, question is.....is my front suspension enough to cope with the bumps and bangs or do i need rear suspension as well?

Hmm, hardtails can be used just fine for jumping and downhill.

It depends on what suspension you have.

a fox vanillia will be good if you can afford it

He probably has an X-mart hardtail.

1 answer, Norco 4 by 4. It is just like a hard tails but has rear suspenion. (So I guess what I just said was a was of time) but, it has 3.7 inches of tavel. (Atleast the 2005 one does). Here is my friends frame.
