Hey all,
I just picked up a Truvativ FireX ISIS crankset off ebay to replace the old SR Suntour crankset off my Trek 4300 (73mm BB shell). I mainly ride on trails and pavement, with a few curb hops along the way. I've narrowed down to two in the $40 dollar range. 2005 Truvativ Giga Pipe Team SL Bottom Bracket - $29.98 + Truvativ BB tool - $7.98 Does anyone know if the Giga Pipe comes with crankbolts? I don't think the crank I got comes with them. Race Face Evolve XC ISIS Bottom Bracket - $39.98 They're both about the same price, any reason why I should choose one over the other? If anyone else has another suggestions for something in the $40 range, please let me know! |
anyone?

i think they usually come with the bolts. the race face says it does. maybe you should just get the race face. the tool needed for that one is more common i think.

I have the "Race Face Evolve XC ISIS Bottom Bracket" now...just got it 2 weeks ago as my old RaceFace broken "internal play"

I have personal experience with the race face, It's worked fine. I wouldn't hesitate to try the giga pie though!
