Helmetcam footage of Beacon (Spokane) DH course

Finally! Good rider's-view footage of our Beacon DH course. This was the course we held our State Championship on last month. Thought you all might want to see a cool DH course on city parks property that can be ridden any day of the year (ridden at Lars' insanely-fast pace). Thanks to local pro Lars of Fluidride for taking it and Twenty20 helmet cams:

My goodness, that got a bit tight down there towards the end. Does the rescue squad make many stops out there?

My real technical move is when I ride between the gap in the National Forest gate, when its closed.

I'll have to pass along the kudos to Lars over on RM. That's where he posted it originally.

I LOVE the lower section. It's one of my favorite parts at Beacon. Upper is a lot of jumps. The drops are cool but I still haven't hit all three gaps in that six-pack before the berm-to-berm. That's my goal by the end of this year.

Actually, most of them have pretty good trannies. The drop before that rock step-up is a 5' to nearly flat - -that tweaks my ankles sometimes. The second-to-last rock face (we call the Waterfall) is better than it looks; but the last rock face IS sketch. The pros and younger experts go straight down it; us mortals swing to the right of it.
