Specialized Stumpjumpers...
Are they pretty much the best you can get for your money in the 1000-1500 CDN dollar range, for singletrack? Also which one would you consider the best Stumpjumper? I Like how the Stmpjumper FSR Pro looks, and the comp one looks nice to, but which one would you reccomend? I'm looking at the full suspension Stumpjumpers...

Well the StJ FSR Pro is the best (thats not carbon) but its also the most expencive. In your price range i think you need to look at the FSRxc (none stumpjumper) version.

my little kid compared the SJ FSR to Cannondales, Treks, Giants, Marins, and others at similar price points and the Specialized blew them away...superior build components, frames, and finish...the M4 frame is bomb proof as well
She was lucky to find a 2004 Stumjumper FSR Elite Disc Woman's last year for about half the original price, and a lot less than the 2005's...100mm travel, Black fork, Float R shock, Shimano hyraulic discs...climbs like a goat, and she flys over anything up to 24"
heck of a deal

yep, the little kid's 2004 FSR listed at $2850 in Toronto last year, was marked down to $1850 because he had 4 of them...but let it go for $1650. The new 2005 model was priced at $3299 at another lbs.
that was last August so she was still able to use it for a few months

Oh, I thought they were cheaper. I'll have a look at the hardtails. I might head to Bowcycle to this weekend and have a look at some bikes.
Thanks
