Intense Spider XVP or Santa Cruz Blur XC?

I'm deciding between the Intense Spider XVP and Santa Cruz Blur XC. I'm sure I can't go wrong with either. Can anyone provide reasons to choose one over the other?

Thank!
Cal

depends on what kind of riding you do...intense is "high graded" then Santa Cruz but I love the Blur. If you do XC mostly, get a Blur XC as its name stands for it. If you do more All mountain riding, get an Intense Spider XVP (the only light & XC bike from Intense). XVP is more expensive I believe and the used value for resale is also higher.

Disclaimer: I've not ridden either bike. However, after seeing plenty of VPP bikes from both companies out on the trails......

I'd give the nod to Intense. The build quality and attention to detail on their frames seems to be a step above.
As well as (from what I hear anecdotal-wise) the bearing setup on the Intense seeming to be a bit more durable.

I just got a Spider and I love it! Very stiff with a nice feel. I am very happy with it so far.

Get an Intense 5.5, Santa Cruz sucks at life.
