Straightening warped disc
I warped my rear rotor last wednesday, and I was wondering if there were any ways to straighten it out other than manual force. I heard something about putting it in an oven for a while on broil fixes it...
Any suggestions? |
An adjustable wrench does a nice job if you're patient and gentle with it.

Any suggestions? for some reason i don't think heat would pop it back |
Actually, just throw it in the caliper and bend it with wrench/hand until true. (worked for mine) The rotor is made to dissipate heat...I don't think the oven would get it hot enough to straighten it. Even if it did, you'd need two perfectly flat surfaces to put it between to ensure that it's getting straight. I think a rotor would out last a cookie sheet in the heat dept. though.
