Tora 318SL to Vanilla RLC... worth it?
I'm asking because I can do the upgrade for cheap (though it won't happen now, it will happen around September), I can sell the Tora that came on my Rockhopper for 300$-350$ here easily if not a lil bit more since its a new fork and it will actually be a fair price around here, 2006 Vanilla RLCs go for 480$ but I might be able to get it cheaper, I want to get it for around 450$ if not a little less, hopefully there will be a sale or something so I don't have to put too much extra money, so do you think its worth it? How much better is the Vanilla compared to the Tora? I also want to save weight since my Tora weighs a whooping 2218 grams while the Vanilla weights a very nimble 1764 grams, so I could save almost a whole pound in weight with this for around 100-200.
Do you think its worth it?

No way you will get more than $150 if even for a used Tora.

Ya dude, that's kinda what I was thinking. The Tora is not that good of a fork. You can't sell it as new b/c it won't be new. As soon as you put a few miles on it, it's basically not worth much.
I got my Vanilla R from Jenson for $219. It's WELL worth the $480 even. It's the best fork I've ever had!
