Gt Bike
Hey guys,
I posted a week ago about getting back into riding... as i stated on my other post i have a 1998 Mongoose SX 6.5, not the walmart ones, got it from an LBS back then... some of you staed to look for a different bike... well one of my buddies is selilng his GT bike...
This is what he said... Most of the component parts on the bike is made by Shimano, Prodigy Raceface XG 3-piece crank, MRD Hyperlite Front Suspension Fork, Fox Rear Suspension, Syntace Carbon Fiber Neck/Stem, Titanium Seat, Shimano Clamp-in pedals, Specialized Quick-releases, Mavic Ceramic Rims with DT HuGI hubs and a Carbon Fiber handle bar.
I believe he was going to sell it to me for $600.00 Is this worth it? Im also going to include a couple of pics for you... please give me some info as i am still new at this, lol...
thanks again,
raphael

Only problem with that bike is I don't see disc hubs. I think it looks really cool, but there might be a better deal out there.

Nothing wrong with Rim brakes. I have my feelings both ways. I think it's more personal preference then one being better then the other.

They weren't P*S*Y's they had manly hands. For the vast majority of riders that don't live in mountains and have tons of screaming high speed decents, rim brakes work just fine. Rim brakes are nuch easir to keep adjusted and just as light/lighter in the end.
