Haro????

I thought they only made BMX bikes, I was in a LBS that I don't do to often where I saw the Haro .357 Nine $2600 gets you 9" of rear travel, 8" Boxer fork E.thirteen chain guide and a 1 x 9 Sram X-7 drivetrain through axles front AND rear as well as F & R 8" hydro disc brakes.

MTBR has no reviews $2600 seems like a good bang for the buck rig for someone like me who wants to get into DH

the only things I don't like are the Sram triger shifter, I would prefer shimano XT, and I'd also like a 2 X 9 drivertrain W/ bash gaurd, but the bottom bracket height is way up there so i don't know I'd still step up to 2 X 9

and just siting on it in the store the boxxer fork out shines the manitou swinger rear shock quick.

Its a dh race bike out of the box...why would you try to run 2x9. That would make one of the worst trail bikes since the armageddon

I know that with 8" up front and 9 in the rear this would make for an unstable platform to go up hills, but since Haro is advertiseng this thing as a freeride bike I figured that a 32 tooth ring up front would help transoprt this rig around where there are no ski lifts. and would suit my style if riding much better.

Haro makes some other bikes that would save you money and you could get a 2x9 setup. I had a Haro and rode it pretty hard for about 3 years. It was a pretty good bike. Look at the works7 or the X7.
