I just dropped off my frame to the lbs to have th bb and fork installed with the cane creek hs. should be nice ordered the wheels and brakes too more pictures soon heres some for now :06 Rockhopper with RR has anyone else used this fork? did I make a good choice? the reviews on it were mostly really really good although there were a few bad ones. the bad ones seemed to me to be mostly people who probably didnt take the time to adjust them correctly.

Nice setup! That's the problem with reviews on these sites... some people just don't know how to write a proper review. If someone can't setup the product properly they give it a bad review when it's usually user error. Of course there are some lemons that slip through but that happens anywhere.

thanks! yeah I hate it when they do that. they dont know how to adjust it so they give it a bad review. from what I've read alot of people like them better than the fox float.

the reba ace is a fine fork indeed, the only difference between all the dual air rebas is in the materials, all the internals are the same weather its the cheaper race, or the most expensive team model.

i personally run a reba race on a giant trance, i couldnt justify spending nearly twice the money just to save 70 grams .

theyre a little stiff at 1st, but they only get better with age, after a couple months use mine are bedded in awsomely... and they wont need a service for at least a year

Good to know, I should be getting the bike back in a day or two (my lbs is very busy) I ordered some bontrager wheels from him and the avid bb7 brakes. I think this is gonna be a hell of a nice ride when I'm done. I have a truvativ riser bar and neck, a sette stem body geometry saddle, lx hollowtech cranks xt rear and lx front derailler, and my all time favorite grip shifts lol. I know everyone uses clickers but I like grip shifts

got in the bontrager rims and just ordered the avid bb7 brakes some king earl pedals, xt cassette and the rest of the stuff I need to make it work

I prefer grip shifts too... you aren't alone! What kind are you going with?
I'm thinking of buying some X.9's once I grow tired of the new Shimano triggers... I should wait for stuff to break before upgrading haha

I promise you when the bike is complete I will take high res pictures of it, I may even do it before its done. Right now its at the lbs getting the fork installed with the cane creek hs. When I get it back I will take some snapshots with the wheels on. Then I'm just waiting for the pedals, cassette and brakes to come. Its gonna be pretty colorful with the red fork hehe

I dont know what kind really, I'm not very particular about the shifters only because my old bike has an 8 year old shifter on one side and a brand new low end sram on the other side and the new one works so much better than the old one. Its a night and day difference but I probably will want half way decent ones so I'll look into the x9's
