Derailleur Help!!!
Helo. I was just trying to fix my friends derailleur. What happen was the lower part of the derailleur (the part with the two little wheels) came off from the upper part. It seems like there isn't much keeping them together. Can anyone tell me how to put these two parts together. The derailleur is a Shimano tourney.

have the two parts completly come apart? if so, you'll be needing a new one...
|
Yea they came complety apart. It almost seems like it should snap on but it dosn't snap anymore, it just sides on and than sides off!
|
If you could spare like 30$ im pretty sure you could get a new derailer, maybe a better one...

for 30 bucks (if you know where to look) you can get him a deore... which would be overkill for a bike that comes with a tourney. :D
shimano hierarchy: http://bike.shimano.com/catalog/cycl...=1156384202309 Tourney Altus Acera Alivio Deore Deore LX Deore XT XTR Hone and Saint are mostly used on freeride and DH bikes... usually not found on xc-ish bikes... although i would like to see a shimano saint derailleur on a tourney bike, just for kicks.... |

You can get a Deore on JensonUSA for $25. You cant get Saint detrauiler because they are axle mount.
