Almost got $2600! Should I buy?
I've been saving for a Faith 2 for quite some time now. I'm probably going to have the $2600 by december or so. I probably should focus more on my schoolwork than working for cash for this bike, but I REALLY want it! K anyway, usually, products come out 1 year ahead of time. Ex. 2008 Honda Civics will come out in 2007. I'm worried that Giant may make a 2007 Faith 2 version or something really soon after I buy the 2006 Faith 2, thus making my Faith 2 instantly obsolete...well..sort of, but not entirely. I have the possibility to get a bike with better components for the same amount of money. The '06 definitely has some better suspension components when compared to the '05. Should I wait for them to make a 2007 Faith 2 before buying the current Faith 2? How long might it take for them to develop a 2007 version?

Wait for 2007. Every year the component companies make improvements on their parts.(eg, Marzocchi, better internals, bolt on crowns for Z1 series, etc)
The 2007 would probably be far better, but you might be able to find a 2006 faith cheap because it's the end of the season.

Throw the stick!!!!
The upside to waiting is if you wait you might get a better bike. You also may be able to get a better deal on a 2006 model if there are any left. The downsides to waiting are that the 2007's may be more expensive and that you may not be able to find a left over 2006.

Still kicking.
BAd news about waiting for the 2007 Faith is that there is no faith series next year.

Hey I just found the 2007 catalog by doing some searching! Enjoy!
https://www.giant-bicycles.com/au/030....asp?year=2007
And this is what the Faith is being replaced with:
https://www.giant-bicycles.com/au/030...07&model=10137
That's got some EXCELLENT components on it, but I have to admit, I hate the color
I wonder what the cost will be...

There are actualy 2 replacements to the faith. There is a glory freeride versionw/ a 66 (basicaly a toned down version of the glory), and a riegn freeride version w/ 6.7 inches of travel and a chain guide (basicaly a toned up version of the riegn)
