I've only ridin the 2 off friends bike for like 5 minutes so I can't say much performance wise. But as far as looks go the Nokian XXX look TERIBBLE, there so small!!! So with that said I would get hookworms.

Plus the Nokian XXX don't sqeele and I love squeelers!

My Son rides on Hookworms. The have great grip on ashphalt. He is only 7 though, so his feedback is from two and a half years experience.
