Turner Nitrous - - - Built and ready to race!
I thought I would make a new thread to show my "completed" Turner Nitrous. I still have a couple of parts I need to swap out for lighter ones, but it is pretty much done.
Here is what it looked like a couple of hours ago.
Here is what it looks like now, I even took the time to get a model for the picture. This is just a quick shot, I'll get some "glamour shots" of it later including some more detailed pictures.
As of right now it weighs in at 22.2 pounds. The build is very sound, no sacrifices of durability or safety in order to make it light. I do plan on getting it down below 22 pounds though.
Oh, on paper it's already 21.75 pounds. Too bad that doesn't count in the real world.

There is no extra, it's already 1/4" from the max insertion point. I may be ordering a new seatpost after my first ride on it.

hey, nice scale, we have one just like that in our kitchen, great for small parts. oh, that bike is nice too I guess.

I'm thinking UST wheel, semi-slick race tire, disc rims, 4.5 pound frame, SID, Juicy 7 [Carbon?], Turner post + stem, carbon bar, SRAM stuff, ti eggbeaters, light seat, light cranks, etc. It's possible to get to 21.75 pounds using XTR 970-series, but then you have to add in cables, which will put you over 22 pounds. So yeah, it's doable, but the cost for parts is around $3500 at full retail, with the frame on top of that. LowCel, does that sound about right?

Beautiful. Make sure to take the appropriate Homer pictures and post it over at the Turner forum:
