More New Products!!!
I just got my digital issue of MBAction! There is a sneak peak of '07 stuff.
Check this out:
All new Jamis Dakar XLT and 25lb XC versions for 2007. Totally different shock placement. Also, a Jamis rigid single speed 29'er.
Haro's AllMountain Xeon looks kickin.
Fox Flux XC'ish helmet. Wicked.
Manitou Evolver air DH rear shock.
New S-bike enduro that we all saw with the futureshock is slated to be around $4400
Intense Spider 29'er.
Marin Mt. Vision Pro looks nice.
A sweek freakin' GT Ruckus HT. GT Idrive Carbon
Rocky slayer is sweeeeet!
4 bikes from Commencal.
Carbon Canondale Rush. Perp.
They also did an XC prototype Titus Racer-X 96'er. They called up Chris Cocalis to design a "one-off" Racer-X 96'er and MBA had Titus build the thing. It sounds like a flippin rocket.

I am pure tech being an IT guy for 20 some years...and e-mags are pretty far behind other technologies. Everyone should have already been on this bandwagon haha

I know it's only 7:30, but I'm confused. I thought people liked to hear about new '07 stuff as soon as they could...
Is this worthless info?

anyway, people are excited about 07 stuff. john galt is just over obsessed with "the ride" and he hates anybody who joyfully talks about the equipment.
i'm gonna go look up some of the stuff you listed.

Sounds good, will have to check that out when those things are on their corresponding websites, I'm too cheap to buy magazines (generally) or e-mags.
I really want to see the Commencal bikes, gotta love them.

You're a real idiot.
A *very* accomplished runner once lectured us at a track camp to 'only 'talk jive' if you're running distance, or when you're about to race.
Because that's the only time that it could really affect any outcome of the sport and be productive.'
Obviously running is not bikeriding, but a lot of parallels can be drawn (especially by myself, I think, having been fairly committed to both), and I try to keep that lecture with me because inevitably when something is done or said sparks my memory of it, I end-up refocusing on what matters: Riding (or running, or whatever.)
In any case, to the OP: Thanks for the post, I don't tend to be in the market for 'brand new' stuff, but I'm starting to look over some 29ers as a consolidation of my commuter, XC, and 'funbike'. Glad to see jamis is coming out with one, their company's always been top shelf in my mind.

Sometimes it can highlight, but most times it's unneccesary, superfluous, and best done face to face. ;-p

The reason I like the "E-version" of the magazine is because I just got my October issue on paper last Tuesday. Two days later, I get the November issue online. It comes out soooo much sooner.
I was given both subscriptions...that's why I have them both.

C'mon man, at least be respectful enough to the female riders out there who have actually 'HAD' pap smears. I used to work at planned parenthood and an ob-gyn, and I can guarantee that neither you nor I (under the working presumption you're a male) could ever conceive what it's like to have one of those things. (The descriptions of various gynecological procedures related to me by females have not been positive, to clarify)
As for being "better done online, for the idiot's sake" it surely seems like it's better done online for the insultor's sake. Are you implying that someone might be less reverential towards you in their response to you insulting them? Surely that's spurious and at least a little cowardly if I understand correctly. After all, why should one be reverential face to face? It seems like the point of saying it face to face rather than online is that you sort it out off-line and don't burden any of the rest of the innocent bystanders (e.g. other forum readers) with the simpleness of uninformed insultry. Although perhaps I counter my own argument, as it seems that perhaps the 'idiot' and the 'insultor' are not mutually exclusive terms.
If someone is an idiot, and all you do is point it out and nothing else, surely that serves to do nothing other than waste space and produce nothing of value to the idiot, yourself, or others (unless of course there is something to be gained by being the first person to post: 'Oooh ooh, that person's dumb! Give me a prize for being the first person to post after them!')
Regardless this type of nonproductive banter, while a decent workout for the people trying to scroll to something relevant, really does nothing but just that: make people scroll even further in their attempt to find something relevant.
So, on topic: Does anyone have any sightings online or otherwise of this Jamis 29er? =0)

The more stuff I see from them, the more Jamis impresses me. I can't wait till someone does an '07 29'er comparison.
Glad to see another addition to their dragon line, too.

It has nothing to do with respect for female riders and everything to do with an apt description of your comments.

None of your post had anything to do with 'new products' or even had the word 'bike' in it. The domain in my URL box says 'bikeforums.net,' so surely it must be about bikes, yet you address bikes nowhere in your post.
Superfluous
Pronunciation: su-'p&r-flü-&s
Function: adjective
Etymology: Middle English, from Latin superfluus, literally, running over, from superfluere to overflow, from super- + fluere to flow -- more at FLUID
1 a : exceeding what is sufficient or necessary : EXTRA b : not needed : UNNECESSARY
2 obsolete : marked by wastefulness : EXTRAVAGANT
- su·per·flu·ous·ly adverb
- su·per·flu·ous·ness noun
(mine's from m-w.com/dictionary)
Lets get real, talk mess about my cycling ability or whatever, but 'fragile?' You're welcome to PM me if you'd like to know more about me, but c'mon man, you don't even know who I am or what I do, so keep your laws off my body.
