how do I separate brake pads?
I have a pair of Avid Juicy Fives that I just bought and I squeezed the levers by mistake and now the pads are stuck togather. How do I separate them w/o having to bleed the brakes?

Throw the stick!!!!
As simple as it sounds I just use a screwdriver and pry them apart.

Screw driver is how I do mine, just be careful not to "dig" the screwdriver into the pads.
Or if you want to be extra careful, stick credit cards in until the pads pop out. Or at least that is what hayes recomends, but seems like to much work for such a simple task.

you might keep in mind that if they don't come apart easily, you're probably goning to have to bleed the brakes!
