well...if you post on an international board, the protocol is not to make assumptions on who you're typing at...and stay away from personal attacks at the risk of getting hit back...just though I'd up the volume a bit to see where this jerk was coming from.

Not to worry about thick skin...I'd put a rhino to shame

If you care not, then why bring it up?

Cheers

he didn't make any assumptions. YOU made the assumption that he was being a racist, based on the false statement that you are a "visible minority".

don't be a hypocrite. take your own advice and don't make assumptions.

now that's silly...

...that jerk told someone not to log onto this board again because he couldn't comprehend the message and assumed that I was defending a bike thief

If you got a problem...I'd thank you to read his post again and try to understand exactly what he's saying.

It's not that difficult if you try really hard

So, tell us again how that makes he/she a racist because I'm not getting it.

Once I left a box of granola bars on the porch and waited for a thief to take them. When he did I followed him home and made him listen as I read Cesare Lombroso's 'Criminal Man'. Whenever the book talked about the physical characteristics of the born criminal I took a sharpie and outlined the area on his body so every time he looked in the mirror for weeks he would be confronted by his criminality.

So has the bike been stolen yet? Thereby giving the OP the warm, satisfying feeling of superiority if only for a short time?

him assuming that you were defending a bike thief (which you were), doesn't have anything to do with him being a racist, which is what we're talking about here.

.... you make me wonder how you got this far in life. it boggles my mind how you're quoting people and replying to the quotes, yet your replies have nothing to do with said quote.

the reason I moved to this country was because we have certain freedoms...like speech and expression...it takes an American, following Bush's example, to want to take this away from you

To that jerk's point...I wasn't defending bike thieves, I was pointing out that entrapment should not a bike thief make
Oh I see why you said racist, well, not really. The guy you called a racist...how was he supposed to know you were a "visible minority" over a message board? Can he see you? Be offended all day long for all I care, and thats not because your a "minority" either. Im sure you offended him by calling him a jerk. Must be because hes black/white/red/ just pick one. But seiously, the racist term doesnt even apply here.

This guy isn't worth the print. That "racist" comment was a new low. We have many, many people on this forum from around the world and I've never seen anyone act racist or claim to be a victim.

im pretty sure they recently changed Ebaums so that if you post a video and it gets accepted u get cash. You sould set up some kind of allarm system, sound and lights, and im sure it would be enough to get accepted. Anyways, whats the status of the bike now, how many days has it been?

So, day one was the 16th. What's happened? You would think that with "Day 1" in the title there would be subsequent threads in sequential order. Apparently I've over-thought this though.

I'd like to know how he plans on capturing the act. Does he have an expensive surveillance system that records 24/7? I mean, is he going to sit in front of his window, waiting?

I think it'd be much easier if he just went out and beat up someone smaller than himself. Probably get the same amount and sort of satisfaction.

i've seen webcams that automatically start recording when they sense motion, i don't know how he has it set up so its tough to say if that would work. also perhaps he could get a long tape and set it to record in slp and change the tape every 6 hours (or just rewind and re-record)

I'd call it a sociology experiment ( or experiminet, whatever the hell that is) if there was anything scientific about it jackass.
